- Auto-enrollment, auto-rebalancing, and auto-deferral increases are among the most popular auto features but plan sponsors are shifting away from auto features in an effort to lower plan costs.
- The decline of auto features is in part due to the shift from large plan segments to small plan segments with investment advice also being more popular among smaller plans.
